Solution Analyst

Introduction:
My client, a leading NVOCC company in Hong Kong which is specialized in providing sea-freight consolidation services, they are looking for a Solution Analyst to join their IT team.
Responsibilities:
- Work with teams on system framework design and assist in system architecture and interface planning
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical requirements for systems and applications development
- Participate in the whole Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including testing, integration and deployment
- Ensure solutions are aligned with the system functions, architecture and roadmap, group standards and policies
- Advise on technical solution including application, architecture and interfaces for remote development team
- Design, install and configure database architecture for internal and external users with high availability and high security
- Set and maintain database security, performance, policies and standard
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database incidents and provide technical solution
- Design, manage and test database backup and recovery
- Engage with remote development team to maintain system knowledge and work on the areas for future development
- Create and maintain functional and system specifications, procedures and operational instructions and other documents related to systems
- Liaise with current development vendor to work on the new application features and functions
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years or above in system and application development, implementation, support and maintenance
- Good software or system implementation and project management practices
- Sound knowledge in application and network security design and deployment
- Practical experience in different SDLC methodology, Scrum or other Agile methodology
- Equip with system and solution knowledge in logistics industry is preferable
- Cloud migration experience is an advantage
- Skilled in programming language such as C/C++, Java, Python
- Excellent command of spoken Mandarin and Cantonese (Shanghainese is bonus), good command of both spoken and written English
- Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with leadership skills to work collaboratively with other team members
