Introduction:

Our client, a leading supply chain company, is now looking for Sales Director / General Manager - Sales (East and North China) to be based in Shanghai China, to focus on developing their business in freight forwarding (sea, air, rail, land) and airline general service administration, improving sales targets and expanding their team.

Responsibilities:

Business Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company targets. Identify, onboard and improve new business sales targets. 

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues promptly.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and build the sales team, providing guidance and support. Set performance targets and monitor team progress.

Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand competitive landscape. Analyse sales data to inform strategic decisions.

Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports for senior management. Track and report on sales performance metrics.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as operations and finance. Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure smooth service delivery.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• At least 5 years extensive experience in sales, preferably within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Proven track record of extensive sales experience and knowledge.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strategic thinking and planning.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
