Introduction:
Our client, one of the leading reinsurance brokers which offer property casualty insurance, asset management, reinsurance brokerage, pension management, life insurance services, is recruiting a (Deputy) General Manager position for their Hong Kong Office. A job description is as follows: -
Responsibilities:
- Assist Division Head in overseeing business direction and operation of Reinsurance Division.
- Provide reinsurance solutions and relevant training/ seminars to clients.
- Keep close contact with reinsurers & reinsureds for business development.
- Negotiate and management effective contracts made with customers or partners.
- Ensure client needs & expectations are met and manage overall service delivery to agreed standards.
- Management of team performance and ensure business operations running smoothly.
- Provide advice on system development and enhancement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree holder or above.
- Professional qualifications in ACII, ANZIFF, CIP, would be an asset.
- Minimum of 15 years relevant working experience in reinsurance broker industry.
- Possess sound knowledge of reinsurance, awareness of market practices and local & international regulatory controls.
- Good understanding and solid experience of APAC market as well as commercial line (corporate).
- Team building and management exposure.
- Excellent network in reinsurance industry.
- Strong management, communication and negotiable skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua).
- Candidates with less experience would be considered as Deputy General Manager or Senior Manager.
Package:
- approximately $80,000 per month (depends on experience and position).
- 5-day week, 12 month, discretionary bonus, medical scheme, MPF, 15-21 days annual leave.
