Introduction:

Our client, a hedge fund domiciled in the Cayman Islands, is looking to hire a TMT and Consumer analyst in Shanghai

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive financial and valuation analysis of companies in the Consumer and TMT sectors
2. Track and monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and macroeconomic factors affecting these sectors worldwide
3. Perform company visits, management meetings, and field research as needed to gather qualitative and quantitative data
4. Build and maintain detailed financial models and perform scenario analysis to support investment decisions
5. Generate well-structured investment theses and present findings to portfolio managers and investment committees
6. Collaborate with research and trading teams to identify investment opportunities and risks
7. Stay updated with global market developments and provide timely market insights relevant to sector strategies
8. Contribute to the development of sector strategies and support portfolio construction
9. Produce regular research reports, sector updates, and ad-hoc analyses

Requirements:

1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields
2. 3-5 years of equity research or investment analysis experience in the Consumer and/or TMT sectors
3. Strong knowledge of global Consumer and TMT industries including major companies, trends, and valuation techniques
4. Proficient in financial modeling, Excel, and investment research tools
5. Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced investment team
7. Fluency in English and Mandarin is preferred
8. CFA or equivalent professional qualification is a plus
