Introduction:

Our client is a dynamic and growing hedge fund based in Hong Kong, focused on delivering exceptional returns for their investors. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations to oversee and manage their fund operations, compliance, IT, audit, risk, HR, and office management functions.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Fund Operations:

• Oversee daily fund operations, including trade processing, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of fund performance and NAV calculations.
• Manage relationships with prime brokers, custodians, and other service providers.

Compliance:

• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports.

Information Technology:

• Oversee the IT infrastructure and ensure the security and integrity of all systems.
• Implement and maintain trading and risk management systems.
• Manage IT support and ensure minimal downtime for all operations.

Audit:

• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of any findings.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Risk Management:

• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks across all functions.
• Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report on risk exposures and ensure effective risk controls are in place.

Human Resources:

• Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Office Management:

• Manage office facilities and ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Oversee administrative functions, including procurement, vendor management, and office supplies.
• Coordinate with building management and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations within the financial services industry, preferably in a hedge fund.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in Hong Kong.
• Proven experience in managing IT systems and infrastructure.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
