Introduction:

Our client, a premium houseware supplier, is now looking for Director of eCommerce & Marketing to develop and execute online sales and marketing strategy for USA market, to be based in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

  • eCommerce Strategy and Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive eCommerce strategy to launch and grow the online presence, focusing on sales, user experience and customer engagement. Oversee development and management of Shopify eCommerce site, ensuring optimization for performance, user experience and conversion rates.
  • Digital Marketing: Plan, execute and optimize digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, SEM and display advertising. Use data and analytics to refine strategies and maximize ROI.
  • Content and SEO: Manage content strategy and budget, including product descriptions, blog posts and social media content. Implement SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic. Oversee SEM campaigns to capture targeted traffic and drive conversions.
  • Influencer and Affiliate Marketing: Develop and manage influencer and affiliate marketing programs to expand brand reach and drive sales. Collaborate with influencers and affiliates, negotiate partnerships and track performance metrics.
  • Customer Acquisition and Retention: Develop strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones using email marketing, loyalty programs and personalized marketing. Monitor and analyse eCommerce performance metrics and customer behaviour to drive continuous improvement.
  • Inventory and Logistics: Create and maintain inventory demand forecasts to ensure 100% order fulfilment. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers to streamline operations and enhance customer experience.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing eCommerce and marketing team, providing guidance and support to achieve company goals. Work closely with product development, customer service and logistics teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Market Research and Innovation: Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends. Test new product concepts with consumers and stay updated on eCommerce and online marketing developments.
  • Assist in growing online brand presence on key omni-channel customer sites.
  • Frequent travel to USA required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in eCommerce and digital marketing, especially with D2C brands.
  • Proven success in driving online sales growth and managing eCommerce sites, ideally on Shopify.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels and tactics, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, influencer and affiliate programs, and content marketing.
  • Proficient with eCommerce platforms, particularly Shopify, and related tools and technologies.
  • Data-driven with strong analytical skills to make informed decisions
