Introduction:

Our client, a prestigious family office managing diversified investment portfolios across asset classes, products, and geographies, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal & Compliance to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a Hong Kong licensed solicitor with extensive experience in type 9 asset management, and preferably, type 9+ digital asset management. This role requires fluency in Chinese and a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all legal and compliance matters for the family office.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Provide legal advice on a wide range of issues, including investment strategies, transactions, and regulatory matters.
• Develop and implement compliance programs and policies.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and external legal counsel.
• Manage legal documentation and contracts.
• Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments affecting the family office.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on legal and compliance issues.

Requirements:

• Hong Kong licensed solicitor.
• Fluency in Chinese (both written and spoken).
• Extensive experience in type 9 asset management.
• Preferably, experience in type 9+ digital asset management.
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong's legal and regulatory framework.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
