Senior Manager - Legal Affairs and Risk Management Department

Introduction:
Our client, one of the world’s leading container lessors; a wholly-owned subsidiary of a HK listed (PRC based) shipping group is urgently seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Manager - Legal Affairs.
Responsibilities:
- Providing strategic business legal advice to management on compliance and legal matters
- Draft, review and negotiate legal documents relating to all aspects of the company’s business
- Identify potential legal issues arising in business operation and providing legal solutions
- Supervise external lawyers to manage litigation or dispute resolution issues
- Liaise and work with external lawyers in financing and legal proceedings
- Conduct company secretarial tasks and manage such records
- Active participating in the legal aspects of different internal and external projects, including M&A projects, transactions etc.
- Review and update legal related policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Hong Kong qualified lawyer
- Working experience in shipping industry is a plus
- Minimum 10 years' in-house legal experience preferably with at least 3 years at managerial level
- Proven legal counseling experience in a business environment
- Overall broad legal knowledge
- Ability to develop legal strategies and objectives, and work independently
- Proficient in both spoken and written Mandarin, English and Cantonese
