Introduction:

Our client is seeking the right Tax Specialist to join their Tax team who is ready to take on the managerial position to further develop their career as a professional tax advisor in tax advisory and compliance.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct and master the comprehensive research on Hong Kong and international tax laws and regulations.
2. Lead and manage projects such as M&A, IPOs, and other special assignments.
3. Deliver tax consulting services on BEPS/Pillar Two, funds, family offices, and related matters.
4. Advise clients on tax risks, planning opportunities, and dispute resolution.
5. Oversee tax and regulatory compliance projects (e.g., Pillar Two, CRS, CARF) to ensure quality and compliance.
6. Manage client relationships and lead engagement workstreams.
7. Explain complex tax issues and regulatory updates clearly to business leaders, CFOs, and Management boards.
8. Support business development through proposals, tenders, and presentations for seminars and webinars.
9. Mentor, train, and supervise junior team members and provide performance feedback

Requirements:

1. A Bachelor's degree holder in Law, Finance, Accounting.
2. At least 5 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory work.
3. Experience in financial services and/or BEPS/Pillar Two matters.
4. Professional legal or accounting qualifications are a plus.
5. Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and management skills.
6. Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
7. Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
8. Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
