Introduction:

Our client, a legal organization is urgently seeking a high calibre candidate for the position of Director of Communications and External Affairs.  

Responsibilities:

• In-charge of the Communications and External Affairs Department
• Handling media relations and communication services
• Coordinating publicity or public education campaigns, enhancing the public image of the organization
• Fostering relationship between the organization and all sections of the community including other professional bodies, local and international through regular liaison or special events
• Preparing meeting papers and communication materials such as briefings for events, speeches, press releases, etc.
• Travelling overseas may be required
• A creative and analytical mind, self-motivation, strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work under pressure
• Leadership and management skill is an advantage

Requirements:

• Degree holder or above in mass communication or journalism or related disciplines; LLB is an advantage
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Corporate Communication/ PR/ Media/ Event with 5 years of experience in senior level
• Strong crisis and event management experience
• Top-notch media relationship 
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including proficiency in Putonghua) [Chinese and English (UE) – B or above in HKAL]
• Stable working history
