Introduction:

Job Overview: We are looking for an accomplished and proficient Quality Manager to establish and enhance our quality control and assurance framework for a new state-of-the-art carbon black manufacturing facility. This pivotal role ensures the production of superior-quality products, aligns with customer expectations, and complies with relevant standards and regulations. The successful candidate will bring extensive expertise in quality management within the chemical or manufacturing sectors, particularly in carbon black production. Exceptional English communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

1. QC Facility Commissioning (: Lead the setup and installation of quality control testing equipment and infrastructure, partnering with internal and external teams to complete projects on schedule and accurately.
2. Product Quality Management: Supervise and manage all laboratory processes pertaining to product quality, encompassing testing, calibration, inspection, and product clearance. Maintain status as a preferred supplier through consistently high-quality standards.
3. Raw Materials Quality Control : Oversee precise quality testing of raw materials, including carbon black feedstock, additives, and water. Develop and apply stringent quality control protocols to minimize defects and optimize raw material efficiency.
4. Continuous Quality Improvement : Utilize statistical analysis to enhance raw material and product quality, identify improvement opportunities, and decrease out-of-specification rejections and rework. Implement and sustain a quality management system.
5. Customer Relations : Engage with customers to address and resolve quality concerns proactively. Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
6. QMS Implementation : Spearhead the deployment of a comprehensive Quality Management System throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with pertinent industry standards and regulations. Oversee internal and external audits.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Science (Chemistry preferred).
2. At least 10 years of experience in quality management, including 5 years in a leadership role overseeing QA/QC functions.
3. Significant experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly within the chemical or carbon black industry.
4. Proven track record in commissioning a QC facility from inception.
5. Expertise in statistical process control, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
6. Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and other relevant quality management systems.
7. Proficiency in MS Office applications (with a strong focus on Excel).
8. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
9. Fluency in English.

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

1. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
2. Experience with Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
