Introduction:

Our client, a prominent multinational banking and financial services company, is seeking for IT Strategist, DevOps, to join their APAC Automated Market Making Team (AMM), based in Hong Kong. The IT Strategist, DevOps, by embracing a DevOps mindset, plays a critical role in developing solutions to the teams daily operational challenges. This role is integral to ensuring that the AMM technology platform remains best in class.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement efficient automated tools to translate quant traders strategies into orders.
• Design specific features to help traders monitor and analyse the behaviour of strategies in production, ensuring adequate monitoring of risks and positions.
• Leverage software engineering to eliminate operational tasks through automation.
• Optimize system architecture to ensure operational efficiency.
• Conduct thorough, blameless post-mortems to guide the platform's evolution.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of automatons and alpha models.
• Develop and maintain monitoring and production tools for trading platform.
• Develop and maintain the simulation tools and a back testing environment to test and validate strategies.
• Contribute to enforcing adequate risk filters for each automaton to prevent abnormal behaviour.
• Organize and monitor the orderly operation of automatons during trading hours.
• Monitor, investigate and improve the performance of trading engines.
• Contribute to research and design of optimal setups for each set of strategies.
• Coordinate and test infrastructure changes implemented by the Group IT and Production teams.
• Ensure all developments comply with local regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related technical field that involves programming, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fresh graduates or those with 1 to 2 years of experience are welcome.
• Direct experience in Finance is a plus but not necessary.
• Experience in supporting applications in a Linux/Unix environment is required.
• Solid skills in C++/Python programming languages and SQL.
• Ability to work with a team of experienced programmers and traders in a high-pressure, fast-paced market environment.  
• Ability to quickly resolve issues under pressure.
• Strong technical and problem solving (troubleshooting) skills.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Must be agile, dynamic and able to think quickly in a fast-paced trading floor environment.
