Introduction:

Our client, a top tier investment bank, is seeking for L1 / L 2 IT Strategist (DevOps), to join their APAC Automated Market Making Team (AMM), based in Hong Kong. The job holder will sit on the trading floor, providing support for the electronic trading platforms, including applications support and market connectivity, used by EQD/Fixed income traders in HK and across APAC. The job holder, by embracing a DevOps mindset, plays a critical role in developing solutions to the teams daily operational challenges. This role is integral to ensuring that the AMM technology platform remains best in class.

Responsibilities:

• Work on various asset products (stocks, ETFs, warrants, options, futures, market making, Delta 1 Algo, Prime, fixed income) across HK & APAC.
• Develop and implement automated tools for quant trading strategies.
• Design features for monitoring and analysing strategy performance and risks.
• Automate operational tasks using software engineering.
• Optimize system architecture for efficiency.
• Conduct post-mortems to improve the platform
• Develop and maintain a library of automatons and alpha models.
• Create and maintain monitoring, production, and simulation tools.
• Enforce risk filters to prevent abnormal behaviour.
• Manage automatons during trading hours.
• Monitor and improve trading engine performance.
• Research and design optimal strategy setups.
• Coordinate and test infrastructure changes.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Up to 10 years in supporting applications in Linux/Unix environment; fresh graduates are also welcome.
• Solid skills in C++, Python, SQL.
• Able to quickly resolve issues under pressure.
• Strong technical and problem troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
