Introduction:

Our client, a reputable institution in Hong Kong and internationally, is seeking a Head of Communication and Public Relations to join their Communication and Public Relations team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and provide advice on public affairs, including government policies, legislative issues, political matters, and community sentiments that may impact the University.
• Lead the development and maintenance of the University's corporate identity materials.
• Coordinate with various departments to produce official publications and publicity materials including press releases, speeches, annual reports, financial reports, and sustainability reports.
• Oversee the University's website, working closely with relevant units on content creation and design.
• Monitor communication channels to stay informed and gather feedback.
• Identify and anticipate potential issues and crises, offering timely responses and support to the management team.
• Collaborate with relevant units to plan and organize university events and functions.
• Manage ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Vast experience in overseeing corporate communications, media relations, and crisis management.
• Strong knowledge of current affairs and the political landscape.
• Excellent skills in managing relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua.
• Recognized degree in public administration, public relations, communication, journalism, or a related field.
• Experience in statutory bodies or public organizations is an advantage
