Senior Manager of IT Operations Overview The Senior Manager of IT Operations is a strategic leader responsible for maximizing the value of technology within the organization. This role involves aligning IT initiatives with business goals, optimizing technology infrastructure, and leading the IT team to deliver high-quality services.
Strategic IT Leadership:
o Define IT objectives and strategies that support the overall business vision.
o Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and create competitive advantages.
o Oversee the design and customization of technology systems for optimal performance.
o Manage IT-related projects and stay abreast of technological advancements.
o Analyze IT costs, risks, and benefits to provide recommendations to management.
Operational Excellence:
o Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of IT services.
o Manage IT infrastructure, including data centers, networks, and cloud architecture.
o Oversee the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to the IT team.
o Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
Financial Management:
o Develop and manage annual and long-term IT budgets.
o Monitor expenditures and ensure adherence to financial processes.
o Evaluate the financial impact of IT initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
Continuous Improvement:
o Identify and implement process improvements within the IT department.
o Leverage technology to measure performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
o Stay informed about emerging technologies and their potential business applications.
People Leadership:
o Lead, develop, and mentor the IT team.
o Set performance objectives and provide ongoing feedback and support.

Communication:

Experience:
o Minimum 10 years of IT management experience, demonstrating progressive responsibility.
Knowledge:
o Deep understanding of IT architecture, governance, security, virtualization, data center operations, cloud architecture, network architecture, SLAs, and ERP systems.
o Familiarity with Microsoft environments is a plus.
Skills:
o Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a technical background in systems and network security.
o Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
o Middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or equivalent qualifications recognized by KaIT.
