As Aftersales Director , you will be responsible for providing direction for the entire postsales operation in order to deliver against one of their key priorities You will ensure that all the departments within the postsales operation function efficiently and as one unit to optimise performance and provide customer excellence.

Responsibilities:

Profitability
Meet key performance indicators and targets for the individual sites
Look for opportunities to increase efficiency of the Service/Body shop and parts   operations to maximise the full potential
Take actions to ensure sustained profitability of Departments/sites
Ensuring we meet OEM targets and Bonus elements
 

Customer Service/Satisfaction

Take actions to sustain and enhance levels of customer satisfaction
Work with team to develop understanding and implementation of customer focussed environment
Respond promptly to any customer complaints and ensure timely and correct resolution
Liaise with insurance companies, fleet operators etc to ensure good working relationships are developed
 

Cost Control

Maintain rigorous control of operating department costs and budget
Manage stock inventories effectively
Ensure warranty procedures are followed correctly to ensure prompt recovery of monies due
Manage debtors on conjunction with Accounts Department
 

Administration

Ensure that company standards are followed in relation to control of funds, remised, vehicles, and other company resources
Ensure that steps are taken to ensure safe working processes are followed and provision of H&S legislation is complied with



Requirements:

Candidates should possess at least a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years experience in a similar capacity for a premium brand from the automotive industry, who display a good understanding of brand positioning and market dynamics of the industry

At least 5 years’ experience in a managerial role within the postsales environment 
Demonstrable experience of working in a target driven environment
Experience of developing and monitoring budgets and Manufacture Targets
Understanding of marketing processes and development of pricing strategies
Up to date knowledge of vehicle and consumer legislation, trade practices and FSA regulations and duties
