Introduction:

Our client is seeking a candidate who accountable to Initially to Supply Chain Director ( to complete the AO transfer program) then to Company Site Lead – Fremont (USA). The role of the Manufacturing Engineer is the development of new and existing manufacturing methods taking into account quality, cost, efficiency, tooling, and process flow. Also, Working within a multifunctional team to develop cost-effective solutions within a New Product Introduction environment. including work as a liaison between company sites and CM to implement improvements, processes, and products.

Responsibilities:


  • Evaluates existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements in the CM facility
  • Leads projects to improve quality, cost, and efficiency against tangible results
  • Leads PFMEA and capability/repeatability improvement activities
  • Drives adoption and application of LEAN and CI practices in the CM facility 
  • Responsible for specification or the support of, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment (CAPEX)
  • Manages the testing and replacement of obsolescent production consumables.
  • Leverages best manufacturing practices from across Company's Group
  • Perform the roles and responsibilities of ME within the NPI process
  • Develop, support, and work within Health & Safety regulations, Company Quality, and Environmental systems of work pertaining to the CM and champion appropriate company's best practices where applicable, and all other Company's policies and procedures 
  • Working positively to develop and foster good working relationships with company colleagues and CM staff at all levels in order to develop a culture of mutual respect and dignity.

Notes:

Travel between Thailand, UK, and the US is required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • Or working experience matching expectations of the role 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Process mapping 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Awareness of glass machining and polishing, thin-film coating, machining of metals, painting, powder coating, plating, and conversion coating, latest manufacturing philosophies, preferred not required.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Prior experience of working extensively at third–party facilities (for example, CM, customer, supplier) will be very advantageous.
  • Results orientated 
  • Experience in problem-solving techniques
  • Flexible approach to working to meet project deadlines
  • Proven capability to learn and implement new skills and processes.
  • Attention to detail and understanding of the CM and wider company's business environment 
  • Ability/robustness to self-prioritize work packages within a dynamic agile Environment
