Mechanical Maintenance Manager

Introduction:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanical Manager with a strong background in the petrochemical and power plant industries to lead all mechanical maintenance activities during the greenfield phase of new facility in Rayong. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the mechanical integrity, reliability, and efficiency of all utility and production support systems throughout installation, commissioning, and transition to full operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and start-up of mechanical systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications and safety standards.
  2. Lead and manage a team of mechanical technicians and engineers.
  3. Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting and cost control.
  4. Ensure that resources, such as spare parts and tools, are available and effectively utilized.
  5. Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability.
  6. Coordinate with plant operations to plan maintenance activities without disrupting production schedules.
  7. Utilize data to identify areas for improvement and optimize maintenance processes.
  8. Lead mechanical maintenance operations for critical systems, including boilers, turbines, compressors, heat exchangers, and utility systems (demineralized water plant, cooling towers, HVAC, etc.).
  9. Supervise contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality execution and adherence to timelines.


Requirements:

  1. Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering; a Masters degree in Business Administration is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within petrochemical or power plant environments, including experience with greenfield projects.
  3. In-depth knowledge of utility systems, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, and mechanical safety compliance.
  4. Hands-on experience with SAP and strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
  5. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  6. Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  7. Availability to work 6 days a week during construction and commissioning phases; flexibility with operational demands is essential.
