Introduction:
Our client is in the banking industry. They are currently looking for an IT Manager will act as the primary internal owner of IT operations, infrastructure, security, end-user support, and IT vendor management.
Responsibilities:
- IT Operations & Vendor Management: Serve as the company’s main IT contact and manage outsourced IT vendors to ensure reliable support, SLA compliance, timely issue resolution, escalation handling, and proper technical documentation.
- Infrastructure, Cloud Services & System Management: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and upgrade of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, endpoints, Microsoft 365 services, backup systems, security solutions, and business applications.
- Website & Domain Services: Coordinate website, hosting, and domain-related matters with external service providers, such as DNS, SSL certificates, website security, integrations, renewals, and technical support.
- End-user Support: Manage user onboarding, offboarding, access rights, hardware allocation, software setup, and timely resolution of IT support issues through direct or vendor assistance.
- IT Projects, Tendering & Change Management: Manage IT projects, tender preparation, vendor evaluations, implementation coordination, and change management.
- Procurement, Budgeting & Asset Management: Manage IT procurement, software licensing, vendor contracts, renewals, warranties, asset inventory, budget tracking. and cost control.
- Backup, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Ensure backups are monitored, restoration tests are conducted, and the IT disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements are maintained and up-to-date.
- IT Governance & Compliance: Maintain IT policies, procedures, documentation to support secure and reliable IT operations and ensure compliance.
- IT Reporting: Provide regular updates to the stakeholders on IT operations, incidents, vendor performance, project progress, budget status, and upcoming priorities.
- AI, Automation & Process Improvement: Advise on AI adoption, automation opportunities, and technology-enabled process improvements.
Requirements:
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, system administration, end-user support, IT service delivery, and SLA management.
- Experience acting as the main in-house IT manager, IT lead, or sole IT person in a fast-paced organization.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, VMware, ITIL, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders of different technical levels highly preferred.
- Experience managing both on-premise and cloud environments, with cloud migration exposure (e.g., Mircrosoft 365) highly preferred.
- Experience managing IT projects, tender preparation, vendor evaluations, system implementation, upgrades, migrations, maintenance, website/domain-related technical matters, vendor performance monitoring, and SLA compliance.
- Solid knowledge and experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, endpoints, networks, Wi-Fi, backup systems, security solutions (e.g., antivirus, EDR, secure email gateway, firewalls), cloud services, and business applications.
- Solid knowledge and experience with networking and related services, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, VPN, DNS, DHCP, SSL certificates, etc.
- Familiarity with essential cybersecurity practices, including access control, multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, email and phishing protection, etc.
- Strong understanding of IT governance, policies, procedures, compliance, data protection, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and secure IT operations.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, reporting, time management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
