Introduction:

The incumbent oversees all financial operations across the U.S. market and plays a critical role in fiscal strategy, regulatory compliance, and long-term financial planning.

Responsibilities:

  1. Execute the companys financial strategy
  2. Manage functions i.e. treasury, budgeting, auditing, taxes, general accounting, company asset procurement, long range forecasting, and insurance plans and policies for the company inclusive of health and welfare as well as property, cargo and workers compensation
  3. Build a team of finance department staff and implementing procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper record keeping and accountability of all company finances
  4. Establish and maintain relationships with banking institutions and government agencies
  5. Oversee and manage company funds, securities, and assets
  6. Maintain constant financial position of the company and report to the Executive Board on the companys financial stability, liquidity, and growth
  7. Manage various State, Federal and Government tax reporting programs, and investor relations activities
  8. Preparation and issuance of the corporations annual report
  9. Maintain up to date on changes, government and economic conditions in the market and keep the Executive Board informed of any negative or positive impacts.
  10. Analytics on the overall operational process of the company and each department, providing the Executive Board with financial impact - negative or positive - as well as issuing recommendations for improvement where needed
  11. Develop plans for growth to increase company profit while also reducing expenditures
  12. Assist the Executive Board to develop budgets and financial plans



Requirements:

Education and/or Experience

  1. Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or similar field
  2. Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a plus
  3. Demonstrate strong evidence of working in a financial leadership role.  Extensive experience in a leadership role with a proven ability to manage large-scale projects and oversee the long-term goals of a company


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  1. 10+ years of Accounting / Finance experience for this role.
  2. Decision making and problem-solving skills
  3. Leadership skills with the ability to delegate, motivate and inspire team members
  4. Honesty and Integrity
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  6. Ability to manage time effectively
  7. Strong negotiation skills
