This role is required to travel to customer locations to perform complete installation of machines including maintenance and operating training.
Troubleshoot and repair machines in malfunctioning cases.
Travel to customer plant locations as requested by service coordinator in central office, to perform technical services on machineries.
Installation
Monitor and help where needed, in the phases (usually handled by customers) of unloading and positioning and utilities hook up of machines arriving at customers
Assemble and/or retrofit all machine components to make up the complete purchased equipment
Connect all utilities to the equipment
Pre-program machine controllers according to specific customer applications
Test run machinery installed to verify functioning of all capabilities
Provide maintenance & operating training to customer representatives, to the extend needed to allow customer to maintain and utilize the machinery according to manufacturer guidelines and specifications. This includes walking customer through all supplied manuals and explain who, how and what to do, to obtain service, whether it involved parts of technical support, from the company, in case of problems
Troubleshooting & Repairs
Diagnostic Analysis: Identify and diagnose issues with machinery, including electronic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and system-related problems. Determine the optimal solution and implement or coordinate repairs to resolve customer issues.
Repair Services: Perform or oversee repairs, ensuring high-quality service and timely completion, while also advising customers on maintenance practices to extend machines life and optimize performance.
Spare Parts Management: Coordinate with the central parts team to source and deliver spare parts for repairs, with a focus on essential machine parts.
Backup Responsibilities
Technical Support: Provide in-house phone support as needed.
Shop-Based Tasks: Participate in machine modifications, refurbishing, and testing.
Showroom Support: Assist in demo setups and shows for customer engagement.
Reporting & Planning
Weekly reporting to the service manager, including:
Scheduling and Planning: Coordinate upcoming service and installation schedules.
Market Analysis: Discuss issues in the market and customer feedback.
Resource Coordination: Plan support from senior resources in other regions, whether remotely or on-site.
Sales Analysis: Regularly analyze the sales of spare parts and repair services, creating action plans to expand the service and parts market in Korea.
Technical background: Able to do troubleshooting on machines.
Preferred: Experience from our industry or heavy machinery sector
Required language(s): Korean native, English intermediate (training courses are all in English)
