Introduction:

Color Development Chemist will be responsible for developing an agreed range of product(s) from laboratory through to customer to complement or improve the company’s current product range as well as color development and technical analysis of Color Service Center in the Technical department.

Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:  

Color Development Chemist will be responsible for developing an agreed range of product(s) from laboratory through to customer to complement or improve the company’s current product range as well as color development and technical analysis of Color Service Center in the Technical department. 

Duties and Responsibilities:    

• Set up and conduct experiments, tests, and analyses.

• Provide technical and analysis support to overcome customer and product issue . 

• Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses. 

• Recording, analyzing and writing reports, reviews and summaries on the findings of experiments and trials

• Participate in the new raw material evaluation in order to improve existing products, reduce raw material cost, and innovate products

• Do literature study for developing the product, also as a background for solving product/ technical issue

• Technical documentation handling

• Laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance

Requirements:

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor or higher in Polymer Science, Petrochemical, Analytical Chemistry, General Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field.

• Experience: 

o Some experience in color/polymer development is an advantage

o At least 2-3 years experience in plastic/polymer industry

Other: 

o No color blindness

o Computer skills with MS office is required 

o Knowledge of chemistry including the safe use and disposal of chemicals

o Knowledge of biology and math

o To be thorough and pay attention to detail

o The ability to use your initiative 

o The ability to work well with others

o Administration skills

o Math knowledge
