Wine Buyer

Introduction:
A leading fine wine importers in Asia is seeking a candidate for the position of Wine Buyer.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee a small regional sourcing team for wine sourcing
- Monitor the vendor’s performance to ensure the fulfilment of safety, quality, pricing, delivery schedules, commercial terms and other requirements
- Analysis and share with the management in regular basis the updated market information and price trend
- Drive processes to monitor and maintain a healthy inventory level and replenishment in all locations to support company sales forecast and growth
- Networking with target suppliers, and industry practitioners
Requirements:
- Degree holder
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in wine industry preferably familiar with European market
- Experience sourcing and contract negotiations on large, complex, multiyear deals with global suppliers
- Solid experience in material sourcing of wine industry would be an advantage
- Worked in complex organization across multiple countries and markets with a strong purchasing background
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Able to communicate in French is an advantage
