Introduction:

Operation Assistant Manager (Japanese Speaking)

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing activities.
  2. Ensure production targets are met on time and within budget while maintaining efficiency.
  3. Monitor and ensure products meet the company's quality standards.
  4. Work with the quality assurance team to resolve any quality-related issues.
  5. Identify areas for process optimization to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
  6. Assist in implementing lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Oversee inventory levels to ensure the timely availability of materials for production.
  8. Collaborate with the procurement team to manage material ordering and delivery.
  9. Supervise and support the operations team, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance.
  10. Communicate with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and ensure smooth collaboration between local teams and the Japanese management.
  11. Ensure manufacturing operations comply with health and safety regulations.
  12. Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions when needed.
  13. Prepare and present operational reports to the management team, highlighting performance metrics and improvement opportunities.
  14. Ensure accurate documentation of processes and reports in both English and Japanese.
  15. Facilitate communication and coordination with various departments (HR, Procurement, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
  16. Act as a bridge for Japanese-speaking staff and management to ensure effective communication.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or operations management.
  3. At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
  4. Fluent in Japanese (both written and spoken) and English.
  5. Ability to communicate effectively with both Japanese-speaking and Thai-speaking teams.
  6. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  7. Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing.
  8. Proficiency in using MS Office and manufacturing software.
  9. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
