Introduction:
Operation Assistant Manager (Japanese Speaking)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing activities.
- Ensure production targets are met on time and within budget while maintaining efficiency.
- Monitor and ensure products meet the company's quality standards.
- Work with the quality assurance team to resolve any quality-related issues.
- Identify areas for process optimization to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Assist in implementing lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee inventory levels to ensure the timely availability of materials for production.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to manage material ordering and delivery.
- Supervise and support the operations team, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance.
- Communicate with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and ensure smooth collaboration between local teams and the Japanese management.
- Ensure manufacturing operations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Prepare and present operational reports to the management team, highlighting performance metrics and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure accurate documentation of processes and reports in both English and Japanese.
- Facilitate communication and coordination with various departments (HR, Procurement, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
- Act as a bridge for Japanese-speaking staff and management to ensure effective communication.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or operations management.
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
- Fluent in Japanese (both written and spoken) and English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both Japanese-speaking and Thai-speaking teams.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using MS Office and manufacturing software.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
