Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising SEA

Introduction:

Reporting to Director, Retail SEA This role will lead the Visual Merchandising efforts in SEA and,ensure that our client Positioning as the fastest sports brand in the world is fulfilled through powerful and commercial VM activities.

Responsibilities:

1. Visual Merchandising Strategy
Lead visual merchandising direction and standards according to Global and Brand strategy, ensure visual relevant directions are executed and enforced across all formats of retail, wholesale, and franchise stores.
Campaigns calendar and concept (aligned with Product and Marketing) incl. tiered approach for both O&Os, wholesale and partner stores.

2. Guidelines, Training & Visit
Ensure VM guidelines are strictly followed across the board by Retail Ops/Sales teams & stores)
Manage visual merchandising presentation through successful visual merchandising program and people management, formulating effective and adequate guidelines, training modules, hands-on training, visits and reports etc. to continuously elevate skill-set.
Set all VM dockets / display guidelines / SOP manuals / VM training modules, VM Team coaching, benchmarking (other brands executions) during store visits, coordination with GRE team

3. Store Experience 
Be responsible for a superior "look and feel" of the stores: storytelling, mannequin styling, smart use of store space & visuals, initiatives for innovative in-store/windows display, replenishment of branded supplies, rezonings/new store openings, to ensure an impactful VM execution.

4. Managerial VM
Responsible for the VM budget and costs control (approving prices/rate cards of central and regional vendors, purchase orders approval, liaising with Finance for payments, monthly monitoring of regional budget for each VM campaign, etc).

5. People and Communication
Provide function direction and guidelines to visual merchandising team and ensure the team’s capability and capacity to train and execute in accordance with set plans. 
Regularly assess team strengths and weakness and provide feedback, training and support 

Task 1: Visual Merchandising Strategy
• Lead visual merchandising direction and standard according to Global and Brand strategy, ensure visual relevant directions are executed and enforced across all formats of retail, wholesale, and franchise stores.
• Ensure high and consistent visual merchandising quality are executed according different shop and fixture types, leverage the effort of store development props and retail marketing initiatives to complete the overall presentation.
• Clearly define commercially relevant visual merchandising sku and capacity strategy on every store with retail and wholesale directors as well as merchandising team. 
Plan, review and maintain visual merchandising standard thoroughly according to seasonal needs at all shop types.
• Lead initiatives’ products, mannequins and props display strategy, involve and develop visual merchandising concepts with retail marketing team in early stage. 
Ensure strong presentation according to RESEC and initiatives story to drive both brand and sales across all initiatives.
• Create / adapt artwork for Retail Marketing & digital marketing collateral to support new launch & promotional campaign
• Create / adapt artwork for Ecommerce collateral (time spent) 40%

Task 2: Guidelines, Training & Visit
• Manage visual merchandising presentation through successful visual merchandising program and people management, formulating effective and adequate guidelines, training modules, hands-on training, visits and reports etc. to continuously elevate skill-set.
• Develop local visual merchandising guidelines from global standard and materials for all shop formats, work with regional visual merchandising team to develop local specific guideline, if necessary. Strengthen the knowledge of visual merchandising leaders by customizing training contents according to multi standards and business needs.
• Lead effective visual merchandising training strategy which covers all elements - direction to execution, shop front to in-store, planning to maintenance, initiative to regular display, zoning to calls-out etc. Ensure visual merchandising leaders in retail & franchise stores are well-trained and capable to execute, training to shop manager is essential, if necessary.
• Identify in-store visual merchandising leader with retail and franchise operation team, clearly frame out their roles and responsibilities as well as monitoring their duties and result.
• Frequent shop visit to ensure all display are executed according to high standard, identify opportunity and resolve issue until resolution. 30%

Task 3: Store Experience
• Oversee initiatives zoning and planogram according to assortment for each relevant store. Ensure initiatives products and props are appropriately showcasing our cleint brand in details as well as to create a cohesive branding across all stories.
• Properly manage the usage and maintenance of all types of visuals, fixtures and props in-store, work with retail marketing team to manage the initiative material in-&-out to create an impactful presentation with clear message in each category.
• Work closely with store development and merchandising teams to ensure navigation, zoning, fixtures, sku & capacity etc. are well identified in new store planning stage. Ensure a smooth working flow from preparation, timeline and manpower with operation team.
• Visual merchandising support to trade meetings, trade-show, pop-up stores and marketing events, showcase the best level of Brand Experience at every touch-point. 10%

Task 4: Managerial VM

• Oversee and effectively use of visual merchandising budget to develop effective training contents, rollout training materials and modules, develop or purchase necessary visual merchandising props and mannequins to elevate brand presence. 10%

Task 5: People & Communication
• Be responsible and train up junior visual merchandisers to meet standard in all aspects. Regularly assess team strengths and weakness and provide feedback, training and support where needed.
• Be the driver of local and regional visual merchandising communication and supports, elevate to retail director and regional visual merchandising manager, if necessary.
• Manage local as well as regional approval and reporting process, ensure seamless integration between multi departments.
• Driver of local visual merchandising internal understanding and alignment. Balance the needs of multi functions to execute according to brand and business relevance plan. 10%


Requirements:

Bachelor Degree or Relevant Diploma
Functional: Proven VM role in retail/trade experience in international brand and luxury brand in sports or fashion industries
Leadership: previous management experience
IT Skills:Office, Ai, Photoshop ,Ppt, Excel
At least 3 years’ experience in overseeing visual merchandising team
Strong experience in managing opinion from different teams
Result oriented, strong point of view and executing insight-driven
