Introduction:

PURPOSE (Why the position exists, within what limits and with what objectives) Promote the group products and value-added technical service to customers to deliver agreed sales targets, with the objective of growing business profitably and achieving customer satisfaction with value added support.

Responsibilities:

PROBLEM SOLVING

Participate in developing a creative and effective marketing strategy to generate more sales.

Technical problems: Trouble shoot customers production problems. Conduct production run for new products at customers factory. 

Resolve technical or commercial issues with customers.

Obtain accurate market information on pricing, processing conditions and product properties; motivate good agents/distributors and technical team/staff; balance between maintenance of sufficient stock levels for quick response to orders and low stock target. Identify potential new market opportunities that will drive sales growth.


INDEPENDENCE

Scheduling of customer visits, prompt response to customers enquiry


DEPENDENCE

Additional headcount, Budgetary constraints, strategic direction, alterations to distribution, infrastructure, staff hiring requires two levels of approvals, pricing; delivery and stockholding, difficult technical problems; advice on application formulation and new product development


ENVIRONMENT AND RISK  : 

Exposure to chemicals and machine operations with frequent travelling


Sales

Ask for the order and close sales at every opportunity or/and the agent to do the same, where appropriate.

Primary - Sales Support to Agents/Distributors

Work with agents/distributors to promote products and provide prompt delivery by advising on proper stock holding.

Obtain competitive pricing and provide up-to-date market info and regular support and trials follow-up in order to secure sales order. Identify new prospective distributor as appropriate.

Customer/Agent Training and Advice

Conduct training for customers and agents in order to familiarize them with products and their application and to introduce new products.

Primary - Customer feedback and participation


Technical Service 

Provide technical service team to assist customer product upgrading, resolve technical problems and staff training in new technologies in order to create high level of customer trust in technology and products. 


Lead and coordinate with external and internal customers on scheduling customer visits, problem solving, gathering of market information and agent activities and technical know-how in order to achieve sales target for assigned countries and participate in drawing up a creative and effective marketing strategy plan.


Business Development 

Identify market needs and product market areas for penetration in all areas in Indonesia, in order to make the Leather operations viable and provide diversification for business.


Market Reporting and Intelligence

Monitor market developments, collect data and information on competitors movements, new products introduced and pricing and secure samples for analysis in order to stay ahead of competition and maintain market position.


Sales/Inventory Management

Provide accurate Sales Forecasting of territory to Demand and ensure delivery at highly satisfactory level for customers in order to achieve budgeted growth.


Safety, Health & Environment

Maintain commercial and technical activities in the territory in keeping with Stahl SHE policies in order to maintain employees and customers safety and health by advising our customers and technicians the proper handling methodology of Stahl chemicals and how to safeguard their health when handling our chemicals.



Requirements:

Education:  Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or relevant Leather College

Experience: 7-8 years relevant industry experience in marketing, technical service & business development 

Good communicating skills in English both written and verbal

Strong interest in sales with sound technical chemical background.

Strong interpersonal social skills to strengthen good relationship with customers.

Excellent communicator to manage demanding customers and deal with difficult issues and understand customers needs. 

Capable of working with global team of different nationalities and cultures
