Our client is well-known company in the steel industry

Responsibilities:

Run and monitor refractory works and refractory condition of EAF, Ladle, Tundish on the responsible shift. Assign and control works to refractory team and slide gate team.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

a.              Plan, monitor and control daily works for EAF, Ladle, Tundish, Ladle

slide gate and relevant refractory in the project to meet target with safety condition.

b.              Monitor and follow up the trial plan, trial method and record information for new materials or new practices

c.              Support and assist to collect trial, incident, refractory performance, and steel making process information for analysis and reports

d.              Supervise and advise team to ensure correct refractory/mechanism installation practice

e.              Coordinate with customers for routine works, new projects, problem solving and improvement strategy.

f.                Control team to work follow up Work Instruction.

g.              Report and update shift information of service life, condition, situation and problem in refractory work both EAF, Ladle, Tundish and relevant refractory works.

 

Requirements:

 

a. Education background & knowledge

- Vocational or High School certificate in Metallurgical engineering/ Materials Science/ Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering or related field

- Knowledge of Steel production or Refractory works

 

b. Experience

Prefer previous supervision experience

Prefer 1 - 3 years work experience in Steel Production, Refractory works, Slide gate works or related field

 

c. Skills & behaviors

Energetic, displays leadership, decision making, strategic thinking, self-motivated, able to work independently, good analytical skills and eager to change and improve

Ability to perform under pressure in a fast paced and changing working environment.

Self-learning.

Must have a positive can-do attitude

Ability to coach and/or teach in any of Refractory area

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) including the ability to work with senior level management, corporate, in addition to technical and non-technical personnel.

Self-directed, motivated and a strong team player. Strong leadership, organizational, anticipatory and analytical skills.
