Commercial Manager (Chartering & Business Development)

Introduction:

We're looking for a dynamic Commercial Manager to drive our chartering and business development efforts in the offshore oil and gas market. In this role, you'll be instrumental in expanding our fleet's reach, identifying new opportunities, and fostering strong client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  1. Actively market and tender for work for the existing fleet vessel services and gather business intelligence and information in the Offshore O&G market.
  2. Co-develop market requirements for current and future services and products by conducting market research.
  3. To work closely with the Operations team and be the commercial focal person in support of project executions.
  4. To furnish all necessary arrangements for meetings by potential customers, brokers, agents and client representatives.
  5. Management and business performance reports to facilitate forecasting, decision making and commercial strategies.
  6. Monitoring and reporting all sales and marketing activities on regular basis.
  7. Conduct Multi-platform or cross channel marketing. (AHTS, AHT, PSVs for O&G market).
  8. Seek and perform cross charter of 3rd parties vessels to enhance revenue of the division.
  9. Research, gather and provide Management with information relating to HR, local legislation, culture, cost of business in new penetrated markets.
  10. Handle post-chartering matters ie disputes, statement of account, collections etc.
  11. Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
  12. Fluent in English language in both written and spoken.


Responsibilities:

Market & Tender Management: Actively market and tender for our existing fleet's vessel services. Gather crucial business intelligence and market information within the offshore O&G sector.

Market Research & Development: Conduct thorough market research to co-develop current and future service and product requirements.

Commercial Project Support: Serve as the primary commercial focal point, working closely with the Operations team to support project execution.

Client Engagement: Coordinate and arrange meetings with potential customers, brokers, agents, and client representatives.

Performance Reporting: Prepare management and business performance reports to facilitate accurate forecasting, strategic decision-making, and effective commercial strategies.

Sales & Marketing Oversight: Monitor and report on all sales and marketing activities regularly.

Cross-Channel Marketing: Lead multi-platform or cross-channel marketing initiatives for AHTS, AHT, and PSVs within the O&G market.

Revenue Enhancement: Identify and execute cross-chartering opportunities with third-party vessels to maximize divisional revenue.

New Market Entry: Research, gather, and provide management with essential information regarding HR, local legislation, culture, and business costs in newly penetrated markets.

Post-Chartering Management: Handle all post-chartering matters, including dispute resolution, statement of account management, and collections.

Requirements:

University Degree in Marine discipline/Business or Equivalent

Min 3-5 years actual experience in similar capacity

Experience with word processing in Word, Excel and Power Point

To be able to travel as and when required by Management
