Introduction:

Assistant Production Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities to meet quality, productivity, and delivery targets.
2. Ensure production processes comply with ISO 13485, GMP, and cleanroom Class 100,000 (ISO Class 8) standards.
3. Monitor machine performance, material usage, and labor productivity to ensure optimal efficiency.
4. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve any production issues or deviations.
5. Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen).
6. Train and develop production staff to maintain high performance and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
7. Ensure accurate production documentation, traceability records, and reporting are maintained.
8. Assist in capacity planning, raw material management, and production scheduling.
9. Enforce safety and hygiene protocols, especially in cleanroom environments.
10. Serve as acting manager during the absence of the Production Manager.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the medical device or plastic extrusion industry.
3. Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, GMP, and cleanroom standards is essential.
4. Experience with medical-grade plastic tubing or extrusion processes is highly desirable.
5. Demonstrated leadership, people management, and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficient in MS Office and production planning tools.
7. Good command of English (written and spoken).
8. Strong organizational and communication skills.
9. Flexible, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
