Representing our client the largest fintech MNC , an experienced Legal Counsel are now in open to join their team in Manila You will play a critical role in supporting the company's legal and compliance needs, providing strategic legal advice, and ensuring the company operates in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters:
Product Development: Advise on the legal and regulatory implications of new product development and launches, including data privacy, consumer protection, and financial regulations.
Contract Negotiation and Drafting: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including service agreements, vendor contracts, data processing agreements, and intellectual property agreements.
Regulatory Compliance: Advise on and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection laws (e.g., PDPA), anti-money laundering regulations, and licensing requirements.
Corporate Governance: Assist with corporate governance matters, including board and committee meetings, corporate secretarial functions, and equity issuances.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Provide legal support in connection with legal disputes and investigations.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks across the business.
Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant legal and regulatory issues.
Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments in the fintech industry.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, engineering, compliance, risk) to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
Provide legal training and guidance to employees on relevant legal and compliance topics.
Associate Counsel - 4-7 PQE or Legal Counsel - 7 PQE onwards (Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) is the number of years you have been practicing after completing all required qualifications and being admitted to the bar.
Represented in years, such as 1 PQE, 3 PQE, or 10 PQE, it indicates a lawyer's practical experience and expertise.)
At least 4 years of PQE for their Insurance business in Philippines, and preferably works for insurance companies directly.
Requirements : Candidate must have experience in working for Insurance company as an in-house lawyer in Philippines.
