Introduction:

The Supply Management Specialist is responsible for the Costs and output from our international Contract Manufacturing Partner. This includes production schedules and commitments, manufacturing costs, including material, machine, man-power, and overall production expenses associated with our Contract Manufacturing Partners within the Asia Region. This role oversees cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and transfer pricing while collaborating with Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate cost data and financial reporting. You will be part of a team focusing on cost optimization and process efficiency, providing insights for cost-saving initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Management of International Contract Manufacturing partner to ensure deliveries are achieved as per our needs
  2. Review and ensure accurate product costing, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
  3. Oversee and manage inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and standard costing.
  4. Perform in-depth cost analysis and profitability assessments for product lines and business segments.
  5. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost reduction. Preparing recommendations to achieve optimum cost levels for materials, manufacturing processes
  6. Conduct research & analyse raw material cost data, and forecast trends.
  7. Prepare periodic cost reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
  8. Analyse and monitor cost variances, identifying areas for improvement or optimization.
  9. Provide cost data and insights to support business strategies, pricing decisions, and operational efficiencies.
  10. Work closely with the procurement, production, and operations teams to develop cost models and understand production flow.
  11. Participate in product development and pricing discussions to ensure accurate costing for new products.
  12. Support component compliance group activities inclusive of preparing declarations and related reports.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor degree of Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in costing inventory control and manufacturing cost with manufacturing environment preferable in multinational.
  3. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
  4. Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.
  5. Analytical Skills; Strong ability to analyse financial data, cost structures, and budgets.
  6. Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, or other budgeting and cost analysis software.
  7. Fluent in English.
