Responsibilities:

- Drive regional sales growth and identify new business opportunities across the automotive markets in China, Japan, and India.
- Develop and implement market-specific sales and business development strategies to expand customer portfolios and strengthen market penetration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and strategic accounts within the assigned territory.
- Manage the full sales process, from lead generation and customer engagement through commercial negotiation, contract closing, and project handover.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products and solutions from the company’s portfolio to maximize business opportunities.
- Lead commercial negotiations in line with company policies, pricing strategies, margin targets, and business objectives.
- Establish sales growth plans and develop effective sales support initiatives to achieve regional revenue and booking targets.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Development, and other internal functions to ensure customer requirements are effectively addressed.
- Provide market intelligence, competitor benchmarking, pricing trends, and customer insights to support business and product strategies.
- Monitor market developments, emerging technologies, and competitive activities to identify opportunities for new products, solutions, and market expansion.
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts, analyzing actual performance against targets and adjusting projections based on market conditions.
- Support the development of annual sales budgets and regional business plans in collaboration with Regional and Global Sales Management.
- Track sales performance and take corrective actions where necessary to maintain sustainable growth and profitability.
- Support product development initiatives by providing market and customer input, particularly regarding target costs and commercial requirements.
- Participate in cost optimization initiatives, including design-to-cost, standardization, and product improvement, following the start of series production.
- Maintain regular communication with customers and prospects through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and video conferences.
- Escalate critical customer issues, commercial challenges, and business risks to Regional and Senior Management in a timely manner.
- Foster effective cross-country collaboration and knowledge sharing to strengthen regional teamwork and customer support.
- Coach and support colleagues and non-commercial teams to enhance commercial awareness and customer-oriented thinking.
- Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and workplace regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in sales or sales management, including at least 5 years in a regional or international sales role.
- Strong professional network and established relationships with Chinese, Japanese, or Indian automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and related manufacturers.
- Previous experience working in a multinational company, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Solid understanding of procurement and commercial processes within the China, Japan, or India automotive markets, particularly OEM and Tier 1 environments.
- Demonstrated success in new business development, customer acquisition, strategic account management, and revenue growth.
- Experience in plastic injection molding, blow molding, rubber, polymer, or related automotive manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to independently manage sales activities and achieve challenging business targets.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive attitude, and strong ownership of assigned markets and accounts.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret sales, market, and business data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard business software.
- Good knowledge of quality management systems and automotive standards, such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 / ISO/TS 16949.
- *Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.*
- Fluency in Mandarin / Japanese / Hindi is required depending on the assigned position.
- Willingness to undertake frequent international business travel, particularly within the Asian region.
