Introduction:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and establish quality assurance and control systems for our Greenfield chemical business. This role involves setting up laboratory facilities, implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS), and driving continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) methodologies.

Responsibilities:

1. Quality and Laboratory Set-Up (Greenfield):

1. Lead the design and establishment of laboratory infrastructure, equipment selection, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
2. Develop and implement QMS from the ground up to ensure full compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
3. Establish robust Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes, documentation systems, and reporting mechanisms.
4. Define key quality metrics and ensure accurate data collection and analysis.

2. Quality Management & Continuous Improvement:

1. Oversee daily QA/QC operations to maintain high product standards.
2. Implement Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) principles to optimize processes, reduce variability, and improve efficiency.
3. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
4. Ensure compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.

3. Leadership & Team Development:

1. Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing quality and laboratory team.
2. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
3. Provide mentoring and support to team members to enhance skills and performance.

4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

1. Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, R&D, and supply chain to maintain product quality.
2. Engage with suppliers and external auditors to ensure quality consistency across the supply chain.
3. Communicate quality performance and improvement plans to senior management.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or chemical engineering.
2. 10+ years of experience in QA/QC and laboratory management within the chemical industry.
3. Proven experience in setting up Quality and Laboratory operations from a Greenfield project.
4. Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) or equivalent.
5. Strong knowledge of QMS, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
7. Proficiency in data analysis tools for quality metrics and reporting.
