Introduction:
WHA Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate 1
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and verify import and export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and letters of credit (L/C), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor shipment schedules and proactively resolve any delivery issues or delays during transportation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure full compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Manage and coordinate customs clearance processes for both import and export shipments.
- Provide customer support related to shipment planning, booking, and documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery.
- Keep customers regularly updated on order and shipment status.
- Support management by providing insights and contributing to operational and strategic planning.
- Communicate effectively with import/export teams, customers, suppliers, and relevant external agencies across different regions.
- Handle daily import-export operations, including shipping arrangements, documentation, and issue resolution.
- Liaise with shipping lines, suppliers, and logistics providers to manage transportation and duties, ensuring cost efficiency by comparing quotations from multiple vendors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in import/export operations, procurement, or manufacturing environments (experience in free zone operations is an advantage).
- Good command of English (both written and spoken).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive attitude, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure.
