Introduction:

Location: Damietta Alliance - Egypt Our client is building a new port in Egypt, and is looking for Contract Project Manager supervising the construction, to ensure the respect of the deadline. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Temporary Project Manager with expertise in civil construction and infrastructure works. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex construction and redevelopment projects at our new Damietta port. They should have technical expertise in planning, organizing, and supervising civil works. This is a contract position with a duration of approximately 9 months, with the possibility of extension depending on the progress of the project.

Responsibilities:

Project Management: Oversee all phases of the project, including planning, initiation, execution, and closure, ensuring completion on time and within budget.

Operational and Logistical Coordination: Coordinate construction activities, including managing the works to ensure smooth project progression while adhering to industry-specific regulations.


Resource Management: Supervise and coordinate the project team, which may include engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and laborers, to ensure optimal project execution.


Subcontractor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and specialized technical partners for the procurement and management of materials, equipment, and resources necessary for the project.


Cost and Budget Monitoring: Ensure the project remains within the established budget by constantly monitoring expenses and addressing any deviations promptly.


Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental regulations specific to construction, including managing certifications, quality checks, and technical audits.


Site Safety: Oversee on-site activities to ensure full compliance with safety and environmental regulations.


Documentation Management: Ensure all project documentation, including reports, certifications, permits, executive drawings, and progress reports, is correct and up to date.


Stakeholder Management: Maintain continuous communication with project stakeholders, including clients, port authorities, government agencies, and local communities, providing regular updates on project progress and resolving any issues that arise.



Requirements:

At least 10 years of experience in managing construction, redevelopment, or infrastructure development projects.

Experience in managing construction sites with knowledge of logistical and technical challenges in complex and high-risk environments.

Strong leadership skills and experience coordinating multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.

Excellent knowledge of project management software and tools for tracking costs and progress.

Strong problem-solving skills and emergency management experience, with the ability to resolve issues in complex contexts.
