Introduction:

Purpose Role to be base in Bangkok As the Manager of Key Account Management for the ASEAN region, you will be responsible for driving regional growth within the automotive sector. You will architect high-level sales strategies, cultivate C-suite relationships, and lead a high-performing team to exceed revenue targets. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, strategic foresight, and the ability to navigate complex business landscapes across diverse markets.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Market Intelligence

Strategic Roadmap: Design and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies, pricing structures, and resource allocation plans to hit regional targets.

Market Insight: Establish and lead data-driven processes to track market trends, competitor activity (benchmarking), and emerging technologies.

Advanced Problem Solving: Leverage deep automotive industry knowledge to identify latent customer needs and devise innovative solutions for unprecedented market challenges.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as a bridge between internal departments (Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain) to resolve complex issues and ensure organizational synergy.


Business & Financial Management

Profitability Optimization: Analyze product/customer mix, cost controls, and capacity development to maximize ROI and business efficiency.

Partnership Development: Support senior leadership in evaluating and executing joint ventures, strategic affiliations, and new capital projects.

Budgetary Oversight: Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring all activities are executed cost-effectively and within financial guardrails.

Credit & Contract Management: Finalize sales contracts in alignment with company risk policies. Collaborate with Finance/Accounts Receivable to ensure timely collections and healthy cash flow.


Customer Relationship Excellence

Key Account Stewardship: Build and maintain influential relationships with existing and prospective Tier-1 automotive customers.

Value Proposition: Translate complex technical/business data into compelling strategic presentations for external stakeholders.


People & Team Development

Talent Management: Oversee team structure, headcount planning, and recruitment.

Coaching & Culture: Set clear KPIs, provide continuous feedback, and mentor team members to support succession planning and professional growth.

Operational Excellence: Monitor team productivity and output quality, implementing process improvements to drive efficiency.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in Sales and Marketing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  3. Industry: Proven track record within the Automotive industry is essential.


  1. Languages: Full professional proficiency in English is required. Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and/or Japanese is highly preferred to support regional stakeholder communication.
  2. Systems: Advanced proficiency in Salesforce (CRM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  3. Competencies: Strong negotiation skills, financial literacy, and the ability to lead through ambiguity in a multicultural environment.
