In this role you will focus on ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial reporting across our subsidiaries within the Group.
Quarterly consolidation of Group accounts and related financial and management reporting.
To ensure subsidiaries consistency in reporting and adhering to accounting standards.
Maintenance of consolidation software and system upgrading or other process improvement projects.
Associate group quarterly accounts closing.
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of consolidated financial records.
Analyze intercompany transactions and eliminate them in the consolidation process.
Assist with the preparation of management reports and financial analysis, providing insights to support informed decision-making.
Maintain a strong understanding of accounting for the hospitality industry, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and property accounting standards.
Support the audit process by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations within the hospitality industry.
Work collaboratively with hotel property accounting teams and other departments within the finance function.
Sound knowledge in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and accounting in relation to group consolidation.
Exhibit strong work ethic and team work.
Able to understand and apply accounting standards best suitable to the business model of the company.
Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications (ACCA)
Minimum 4 years working experience
Prior experience in audit or in Listed companies large MNCs performing consolidation role is preferred.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in consolidation accounting:
Experience in consolidating financial statements for multiple entities is crucial.
In the hotel industry, this might involve consolidating the financials of various hotel properties under the same brand.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Consolidation involves analyzing financial data from multiple entities and reconciling any discrepancies.
Excellent attention to detail: Accuracy is paramount when consolidating financial statements.
Working knowledge of financial modeling and consolidation techniques: Understanding how to consolidate financial statements using various methods is necessary.
