Responsibilities:

They are seeking an experienced Technical Service Manager to lead marine engine service operations for their Singapore-based facility.


You will possess a deep understanding of marine diesel and gas engines, coupled with strong leadership skills and a passion for customer service excellence.

This role involves overseeing technical service teams, ensuring high service standards, and maintaining robust relationships with both international clients and global manufacturers.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Lead and manage a dedicated team of service technicians, ensuring high-quality maintenance and repair services across all projects.

Technical Oversight: Oversee the diagnostics, troubleshooting, and servicing of various marine diesel and gas engines.

Operational Standards: Develop and implement rigorous service procedures, quality control measures, and safety protocols to ensure operational excellence.

Training & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and ongoing training to internal service teams to maintain a high level of expertise.

Client Management: Coordinate directly with clients to assess technical needs and deliver timely, effective service solutions.

Strategic Partnerships: Work closely with manufacturers and suppliers to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Compliance: Ensure all operations remain in compliance with regulatory standards and internal company policies.

Resource Management: Manage service schedules, departmental budgets, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.Escalation Support: Act as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues, providing expert-level support when required.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 8 years of experience in marine engine maintenance and service management.

Strong knowledge of marine diesel and gas engines, 2-stroke, and 4-stroke.

Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.


A MUST

Certifications from major marine engine manufacturers (e.g., Caterpillar, MAN, MTU, Volvo Penta, Yanmar).

Experience with electronic engine diagnostics and control systems.

Familiarity with marine industry regulations and compliance standards.
