Introduction:

This role is responsible for managing the overall Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) functions within a manufacturing environment. The SHE Manager will plan, implement, and monitor safety and environmental activities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. The role involves a balance of fieldwork and documentation, requiring a hands-on approach to managing safety in a heavy industrial setting. The SHE Manager will also be responsible for training staff, setting safety standards, and managing SHE aspects of facility renovation/expansion projects.

Responsibilities:

Safety Role:

  1. Plan and review the annual safety activities plan.  
  2. Review and assess conformity with safety, health, and environment laws.  
  3. Plan and monitor safety, health, and environment policies.  
  4. Develop, review, and implement safety regulations.  
  5. Manage all activities related to work-related injuries or illnesses.  
  6. Promote, support, and monitor safety activities.  
  7. Review risk assessments for safety at work.  
  8. Monitor and control safety inspections at work to reduce the risk of accidents.  


Environment Role:

  1. Provide an annual plan for environment activities.  
  2. Review conformity with environment laws.  
  3. Monitor environment assessment activities, both inside and outside the factory.  
  4. Follow up on environment law activities.  


Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Investigate for root cause analysis and possess analytical skills (predictive for preventive would be an advantage).  
  2. Risk assessment and environment aspect skills.  
  3. Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.  
  4. Negotiation and mediation skills.  
  5. Ability to work under pressure.  
  6. Provide solutions to solve problems (preventive solutions are an advantage).  
  7. Planning skills.  
  8. Coordination skills.  
  9. Follow-up skills to ensure plans are executed.  
  10. Training staff and instilling a safety mindset.  
  11. Setting safety standards.  
  12. Managing SHE aspects of facility renovation/expansion projects.


Requirements:

  1. Male/Female  
  2. Age 38-45 years old  
  3. At least a Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Environment, or a related field.  
  4. At least 5 years of experience in safety, health, and environment in manufacturing (heavy industry experience is preferred, such as cement, steel, sugar, mining).  
  5. Professional Safety Officer license (.).  
  6. English: Reading and writing skills
