The Opportunity: Drive Growth in the Premium Merino Market
We are seeking a highly motivated and deeply experienced Sales & Marketing Manager to take the lead on our premium Merino wool textile business.
This is a critical, high-impact role in Vietnam that requires a blend of leadership, technical wool expertise, strategic planning, and robust business development. You will manage a local sales team, cultivate key global customer relationships, and be accountable for delivering aggressive business growth targets. Your success will directly drive our overall market share and profitability within the specialized Merino segment.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Strategy & Business Development
Spearhead New Business: Identify, target, and secure significant new business opportunities within the global Merino wool market, building a robust pipeline of potential customers.
Achieve Aggressive Growth: Drive efforts to meet or exceed a 20% business growth target within the next two years.
Develop Core Strategies: Oversee the creation of comprehensive sales plans, impactful marketing strategies, and dynamic pricing models to ensure sustained profitability and market share expansion.
Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor global Merino industry trends, shifts in customer demands, and competitor activities to proactively adjust strategies and maximize market opportunities.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and marketing team in Vietnam, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and results-driven culture.
Global Alignment: Serve as the primary operational link, collaborating closely with the Business Head in Korea and local Factory Top Management in Vietnam to ensure operational strategies align with overarching business objectives.
Relationship Management: Nurture and grow relationships with existing global customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, retention, and expanded business volume.
Global Presence: Regularly undertake international travel to the Korea head office and customers’ overseas locations to maintain and strengthen critical client relationships and represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Reporting & Financial Oversight
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, comprehensive reports, and detailed business performance analyses for presentation to top management.
Deep Industry Expertise is Essential: Extensive, proven experience in sales and marketing specifically within the wool textile industry.
Technical Knowledge: Deep, intimate knowledge of Merino wool fabrics, including technical properties, current market trends, and key customer needs/applications.
Leadership Track Record: Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate sales teams, manage complex customer relationships, and deliver quantifiable business growth.
Communication: Excellent negotiation and communication skills in English (both written and verbal) are mandatory for global stakeholder communication.
Agility: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment with flexible hours and a proactive approach.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required (to Korea and customer locations).
