Business: New State-of-the-Art Food Processing Plant (Chicken & Frozen)
Location: Chonburi, Thailand
Our client is launching a brand new, state-of-the-art food processing facility in Chonburi, specializing in high-quality processed and frozen chicken products for both domestic and international markets. This is a unique and challenging opportunity to shape and lead our entire supply chain function from its inception.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain strategies that support the company's growth objectives, covering upstream sourcing, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and international export.
- Lead the integration and optimization of ERP systems across the supply chain, ensuring efficient data flow, accurate forecasting, and streamlined processes.
- Oversee comprehensive production planning, raw material procurement, and finished goods inventory management, balancing cost efficiency with product availability and quality standards.
- Develop and implement rigorous protocols for managing the shelf life and quality of fresh food products, minimizing waste and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with key local and international suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery of materials.
- Manage domestic distribution and international export logistics, navigating customs, regulations, and freight forwarding to ensure efficient and compliant global delivery.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Act as a key liaison between production, sales, finance, and quality assurance departments to ensure integrated and harmonious operations.
- Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000) and local/international food regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, with significant exposure to the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Proven expertise in implementing and utilizing ERP systems for supply chain operations.
- In-depth understanding of inventory management, production planning, procurement, and both domestic and international logistics.
- Demonstrated experience in managing supply chains for perishable goods, with a strong focus on shelf life and quality control.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Outstanding negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential for interacting with international partners and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work 6 days a week in Chonburi, Thailand.
