Mold and Die Engineer
Introduction:
Mold & Die Expert
Responsibilities:
- Able to establish & train the global knowledge and process standards
- Collaborate/ communication between sales and operation by new Customer projects & Claims
- Receive mold & dies from customers and perform the incoming inspection (visual, dimensional and metallurgical inspections to be preformed)
- Identify & register the tools into the ERP system and define the correct operation standards
- Apply the pre-treatments process for coating such as cleaning, stripping, polishing, nitriding, etc.
- Prepare the molds for coating & collaborate to define the production schedule to reach OTD
- Apply post finishing to the molds & perform outgoing inspection; pack the molds ready to ship
- Coach and train other staff on mold and die knowledge
- Participate in OEE, Continuous Improvement Process (CIP), KAIZEN, 5S and HSE programs
- Participate in ISO, Customer, Corporate Audits to ensure adherence to stakeholder Standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Mold & Die, Metallurgical or Mechanical, Materials or related fields
- Knowledge:Injection molding, die casting, progressive stamping testing & sampling knowledge is a plus
- Min 3 years experience in mold & die maintenance for plastic injection or aluminum die casting or precision stamping
- Average English: can understand English language and can write basic sentences.
