Responsibilities:
- Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping agents to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance of imported materials.
- Monitor shipment status, delivery schedules, and import documentation to ensure compliance with customs and BOI regulations.
- Manage and control import duties, taxes, exemptions, and port handling charges in accordance with project and BOI privileges.
- Supervise loading, unloading, handling, and inland transportation of materials from ports, warehouses, or suppliers to the construction site.
- Plan and optimize transportation routes and warehouse/storage utilization to minimize logistics costs and reduce transit lead time.
- Coordinate logistics for free-supply materials from contractors’ construction sites or directly from raw material suppliers to ensure on-time delivery to the project site.
- Track, verify, and reconcile delivery receipts, transportation schedules, and inventory records for free-supply and project materials.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs authorities, port operators, and transport providers to ensure efficient import and logistics operations.
- Work closely with purchasing, project management, engineering, and contractor teams to ensure materials are available according to construction schedules.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve logistics and customs-related issues that may cause delays to project activities.
- Ensure all imported materials comply with applicable customs laws, BOI requirements, and import/export regulations.
- Review and verify the accuracy of shipping and customs documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, delivery notes, customs declarations, and transport records.
- Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards in the handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous or sensitive materials.
- Follow project-specific procedures related to material traceability, documentation control, and quality requirements.
- Perform duties on a shift basis as required by project operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in logistics, import–export, or supply chain management, preferably in construction, industrial, or large-scale project environments.
- Certifications in import–export management, freight forwarding, BOI regulations, or SAP ERP will be an advantage.
- Proven experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, BOI operations, and international logistics.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and global supply chain operations.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills in Thai and English.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Ability to work shifts when required.
