Introduction:

Map Ta Phut

Responsibilities:

1. Provide consecutive interpretation between Thai and Japanese for technical and operational matters.
2. Facilitate communication between Japanese specialists/consultants and Thai engineers/technicians, particularly for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and quality control.
3. Provide interpretation support during technical meetings, daily meetings, project updates, and management meetings.
4. Translate technical documents, including SOPs, WIs, technical drawings, specifications, quality reports, and business correspondence.
5. Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth communication and effective support for technical operations.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Japanese, Humanities, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
2. JLPT N1 or N2 is required.
3. 1–3 years of experience as a Japanese Interpreter in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
4. Familiarity with technical and engineering terminology related to steel manufacturing, machinery, rolling/coating processes, and quality assurance.
5. Able to work on the factory floor and strictly follow safety requirements, including wearing appropriate PPE.
6. Experience in the steel, metal processing, heavy machinery, or automotive industries is highly preferred.
