Introduction:

Based in the worlds largest bunkering port of Singapore, we offer a reliable barging service to ship owners across Asia and beyond using our Singapore-flagged bunker tankers.

Responsibilities:

  1. To superintend all technical and safety matters concerning Company vessels and to implement the technical and safety policies of the Company on these vessels.
  2. Carrying out repair maintenance and servicing of vessels to the instructions of the Technical Manager.
  3. Carrying out the negotiations with Class Surveyors relative to the surveys on board vessels, and reporting to the Technical Manager.
  4. Advising the Master and Chief Engineer of planned maintenance and maintenance work to be carried out by the ships staff and arranging this.
  5. Examining vessels machinery spaces with reference to cleanliness and the progress of maintenance by the ships staff.
  6. Carrying out damage surveys on vessels and completion of necessary costing, reports accounts, abstracts, etc.
  7. Proceeding to ports as may be necessary, on the instruction of the Technical Manager, for the purpose of supervising repairs and restoration of the Companys vessels and equipment.
  8. Preparation of additional proposal for new regulations fulfilment if necessary with the approval of Regulatory Authority or Recognised Organization.
  9. Ensure ship is able to fulfil the regulations as above.
  10. Liaison officer and trainer for Cadet officer from Singapore Polytechnic
  11. When visiting a vessel of carrying out a dry-docking, he will be responsible for dealing with:
  12. All technical matters locally.
  13. All matters connected with the repairs, servicing and sailing of the vessel and their programming for prompt dispatch.
  14. Ensuring that all his service instructions are speedily dispatched from the ship to the relevant office department or agents.
  15. Carrying out a complete general inspection of the vessel and reporting to the Technical Manager on return.
  16. The maintenance of safety equipment to legislative requirements and Company standards onboard vessels.
  17. Submitting for approval and thereafter monitoring budgets for his area of expenditure responsibility and reporting variances.
  18. Reporting relevant information to the Technical Manager regarding sea-going personnel


Requirements:

  1. COC Class 1 or 2 holders with sailing experience on oil tankers.
  2. At least 1 years experience as a Technical Superintendent in ship management operations.
  3. Foreign going Chief Engineer with sea experience preferred.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to handle multiple projects and good organization skills
  6. Analytical, able to work independently, results-oriented, resourceful, and pro-active.
