Senior Process Engineer (Electronics)

Introduction:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Process Engineer to ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of our mechanical parts manufacturing processes. This role involves comprehensive oversight, support, and problem-solving across the production floor, working closely with operators, quality control, technicians, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mindset for continuous improvement and cost reduction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide daily monitoring, support, and solutions for all manufacturing process issues to ensure production consistently meets company goals.
  2. Develop, document, implement, and update work instructions of the manufacturing process, from incoming materials to outgoing products, ensuring strict compliance in production.
  3. Track yield, process capability, and quality performance; lead failure analysis and drive corrective actions as well as continuous improvement.
  4. Conduct training for operators, quality controllers, and technicians on production methods, machine operation, quality inspection, and initial failure analysis.
  5. Initiate, define, and execute process improvement plans to enhance the robustness of manufacturing processes, including eliminating non-value-added steps, reducing cycle time, optimizing process steps, implementing error-proofing, and reducing material waste.
  6. Lead the team in evaluating and implementing end-to-end changes in manufacturing processes, machines, materials, production line layouts, and environmental factors to ensure products meet quality standards.
  7. Support cross-functional teams (e.g., New Product Introduction, Maintenance, Planning, Quality, Production) for the relevant production process to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  8. Ensure the timely and organized storage and maintenance of all engineering parts or samples.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineer.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in process engineering in manufacturing or a similar function.
  3. Understanding of people management, cost control, project management, and capacity planning.
  4. Proficiency in utilizing engineering and technical tools to solve problems and improve production processes, such as data collection, statistical knowledge, FMEA, 8D reports, and 7 QC tools.
  5. Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a key owner and a collaborative team player.
  6. An independent, self-starting individual who can work with minimum guidance, demonstrating strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
