Production Manager (Chicken Poultry / Processed Food)

Introduction:

We are seeking a high-caliber Production Manager to lead the manufacturing operations of our client's brand-new, state-of-the-art poultry processing facility in Chonburi. As a key member of the startup leadership team, you will be responsible for building operational excellence from the ground up, ensuring that all production targets are met with the highest standards of food safety and efficiency. This is a critical role for a strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and possesses deep technical expertise in poultry processing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Production Planning & Execution: Formulate and execute comprehensive production schedules in alignment with organizational goals, supply chain capabilities, and market demand.
  2. New Plant Setup & Calibration: Oversee the initial setup of production lines, ensuring machinery and workflows are optimized for maximum throughput and minimal waste from day one.
  3. Operational Management: Direct and manage internal administration and day-to-day operations within the production department to ensure seamless delivery.
  4. Efficiency & Quality Control: Conduct regular audits of production workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives for better output and quality.
  5. Resource & Labor Management: Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of production staff, fostering a culture of safety and high performance.
  6. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to ensure consistent output and the achievement of plant-wide targets.
  7. Budget & Cost Control: Manage the departmental budget, monitoring production costs and implementing strategies to optimize resource utilization and reduce operational expenses.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Veterinary Medicine, Microbiology, or related Scientific fields.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in poultry processing plant environments, with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity.
  3. Advanced knowledge and certified training in international food safety standards, including GMP, HACCP, and BRC.
  4. Proven proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 and ISO 22000.
  5. Strong ability to interpret production data and KPIs to drive decision-making.
  6. Good command of English (both written and spoken) is preferred for reporting and international standard compliance.
