Introduction:
To manage procurement of materials and support supply chain operations across Carbon Black’s manufacturing units, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, timely delivery, and alignment with sustainability and operational goals.
Responsibilities:
. Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Manage sourcing of key raw materials such as feedstock oils, packaging materials, and related supplies from qualified vendors.
- Lead contract negotiations and establish long-term supplier partnerships to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, ethical standards, and sustainability requirements.
2. Supply Chain & Logistics Management
- Coordinate closely with manufacturing plants to support inventory planning, material availability, and logistics execution.
- Participate in and support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) activities to align supply with demand forecasts.
- Oversee inter-plant material transfers and continuously improve warehouse and distribution efficiency.
3. Supplier & Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to strengthen the supply base.
- Conduct supplier audits, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, delivery, and cost performance.
4. Systems, Reporting & Controls
- Utilize SAP MM or equivalent ERP systems for procurement execution, tracking, and reporting.
- Prepare and maintain MIS reports and dashboards covering procurement, supply chain performance, and key KPIs.
5. Cost Optimization & Sustainability
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives across procurement and logistics functions without compromising quality or service levels.
- Support sustainability-driven projects and digital transformation initiatives, such as advanced planning or optimization tools (e.g., Blue Yonder Optimizer).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management roles.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM (modules and T-codes), vendor management, and logistics/service contracts.
- Solid understanding of commercial terms and conditions in Purchase Orders and Service Orders.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
