The Role We are seeking a skilled and driven Marine Service Engineer / Senior Technician to join a core engineering unit in Singapore. In this mid-senior role, you will utilize your deep technical expertise to execute and lead high-quality repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance projects on major marine diesel engines.

Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities

Engine Overhaul & Repair: Lead and execute the complex repair, maintenance, and major overhauls of 2-stroke and 4-stroke marine diesel engines.


Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Perform precise technical fault-finding, diagnostic testing, and condition monitoring to resolve complex engine defects efficiently.


Workshop & Field Operations: Oversee the safe lifting, shifting, and precise reconditioning of heavy engine components between vessel sites and a state-of-the-art workshop.


Site Compliance: Strictly enforce and adhere to all safety, quality, and technical operational guidelines required within Singapore shipyards, anchorages, and onboard vessels.


Client & Team Coordination: Maintain clear, proactive communication with vessel chief engineers, superintendents, and the internal operations team to ensure tight project timelines and minimize vessel downtime.

Requirements:

Job Requirements

  1. Education: Degree or Diploma in Marine & Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  2. Experience: 6 to 9 years of direct, hands-on experience specializing in marine diesel engine repair and maintenance.
  3. Technical Capability: Proven track record in troubleshooting and overhauling 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines; familiarity with major OEM brands is highly advantageous.
  4. Environment Fit: Comfortable working in dynamic shipyard and anchorage environments.
  5. Flexibility: Willing and able to work overtime to support fast-turnaround marine service deadlines.
