Introduction:

Our client, a recognized comprehensive service provider in Electrical Engineering, Rotating Equipment, Panel Design and Manufacture, Marine Services, Mining, and Site Services is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team. About the Role The role objectives as a member of the growing Engineering Team, is to design & project manage our customer projects, as well provide technical support in areas of problem-solving and standards compliance throughout the organisation. Commission and test company manufactured and overhauled equipment to ensure compliance with the design, specification and Australian Standards, ensuring that all work performed in accordance with company procedures and work instructions,observing all WHS requirements.

Responsibilities:

Utilising your expertise as an Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities may will include:

• Produce effective & compliant electrical engineering designs and oversee the procurement, production,
• testing, installation & commissioning of those designs.
• Produce Switchboard & Motor Control designs compliant with Australian Standards.
• Develop electrical schematics using AutoCad Electrical.
• Create panel layouts, cable schedules and termination diagrams.
• Programming PLC/HMI/SCADA
• Commissioning, testing and final Inspection.
• Development of maintenance strategies, schedules and manuals for equipment designs.
• Project Management
• Liaising directly with Stakeholders, Clients and Suppliers
• Conduct electrical site investigations leading to reporting and option analysis.
• Conduct compliance audits.
• Conduct design risk assessments.
• Investigate new technology with the aim of solving customer electrical, operational and maintenance
• issues.
• As required attend site inspections and assist in the preparation of tender submissions

Pre-requisites

• Switchboard or Motor Control Centre design
• >5 years in Electrical Design for Industry, Mining or Utilities
• Project Management experience
• Low Voltage and Medium Voltage
• Load Flow Studies (eg. E-Tap)
• Critical Instrument Systems (including SIL)
• An understanding of Automation, PLC & HMI Systems
• Highly familiar with Electrical Standards
• Auditing to Electrical Standards
• Facilitating Design Risk Assessments
• Project Management Experience
• Bachelor Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in document control
• Good communication skills, written, verbal and listening
• Ability to work independently, as well in a team environment

Additional information: 

• As their market includes Defence, Mining & Marine, Medical & Police checks will be requested.
• Permanent Residency or Citizenship within Australia
