Supplier Quality Engineer
Introduction:
location: Rayong
Responsibilities:
- Performs all tasks in area of responsibility in a timely manner to support the supplier quality/inspection system.
- Ensures all aspects of the delivered/finished article are manufactured in accordance with approved quality system requirements and is certified as compliant to type design requirements.
- Manages and monitors the supplier performance through the application of system, product, and process metrics.
- Working with the supplier for New Parts development.
- Review and update the project timing plan.
- Escalate on any progress and deviation when required.
- Technical hand holding with supplier for implementation of robust process.
- Responsible for ensuring timeliness and effectiveness monitoring of the supplier.
- Promotes the use of continuous improvement techniques and APQP principles at Supplier to help them reduce variability and achieve process control.
- Develops key metrics and score card measures that accurately depict supplier health from a risk and performance perspective.
- Lead quality focus meetings to address supplier performance and to communicate progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, transportation sciences, quality systems, or a related field
- 8-10 years experience in a manufacturing environment focusing on supplier management or part quality or project management in engineering
- Excellent in English spoken and writing
- Technology knowledge and experience (Metal casting, Welding, Stamping, Plastic Molding, Electronics, Complex assembly)
- Good command of technical drawings
- Knowledge of problem resolution/root cause analysis (8D, etc.)
- Technical experience in operations, methods or engineering / quality methods and tools (8D, RCA, FMEA)
- Knowledge of APQP principles and the ability to lead and train
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma
- Familiar with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS 9100 or IATF 16949)
